Plastering:
The traditional material that is lime mortar and plaster, has it's own inherent properties which sympathise with old and new buildings alike. Lime has been used for hundreds of years to provide mortars and plasters which are breathable, forgiving and self-healing, and therefore superior, and more versatile and appropriate in many situations. The art of lime-work is an extremely complicated subject, and there is no substitute for knowledge and experience, of which StoneCo operatives have a vast degree. Working with these materials on a daily basis, and regular training to improve and learn new traditional skills, and knowledge passed down by master craftsmen, our skilled and dedicated operatives are well versed in the materials and methods of repairing, preserving and maintaining historic buildings, often with minimal loss of original fabric. Although widely attributed to yesterday's buildings, conservation is a modern and advancing science, with lime mortars, renders and plasters playing a major part in old and new buildings alike, with StoneCo always aiming to be at the forefront and offering quality advice and service.
